PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.  If you are unable to make practice, or are going to be late, please call Mark or I.  Though we have practice scheduled until a certain time, depending on who is there and who notified us we may end early and that can be very awkward if you show up as we’re leaving for the night.  Plus the date is getting closer and we need to get through what we schedule with whom we schedule.  So always remember, the start time is set, the end time may change depending on what we are able to get through.

 

 

1)      Reminder that your forms and $20 membership dues are still due.  This is serious.  In order to be in the play we need both your forms and the dues.

2)      The practice schedule is outlined below, including who will need to attend what practice, and what we will be going through.

3)      Costumes –Costume Holiday House has costumes for Hello Dolly for rent.  As we draw closer and begin to have our costume coordination we will want to coordinate the rentals as we get a discount the more we rent.  But remember, each cast member is responsible for your own costume.

4)      Choreography – At most of the practices beginning in May 8th, in addition to blocking and line work Natalie will begin working with the choreography

5)      Music –We will begin music work May 13th.  However, we are still in an uncertain position regarding our musical accompaniment.  More to follow as detail becomes available.  We are still in need of a confirmed accompanist.  Though we have several people that have expressed their interest no one has confirmed at this point.  We are practicing in the meantime with an instrumental CD.

6)      We will go off book on June 9th.  For those of you who are new to the production, that means lines must be memorized by then as no more scripts will be allowed on stage.

7)      Advertising and sponsorships – All information for advertisements and sponsorships are on the web site, please direct people you know there for details, print the details off and pass them out.  We will have advertising forms for them to fill out in a few weeks

8)      Fund raising – We are still selling candy and pizza kits (little caesars).  All cast and crew are expected to participate.  Order forms and the candy will be at Tuesday’s practice.  As an aside.  I know selling kits is difficult, as such we have decided that if you are uncomfortable or having difficulty selling, you may make a donation in lieu of selling.

Also, please remember your fees, candy donations, ad sales and any other

fund raising.

 

In addition, we need good construction folks to help out with the set

construction.  The sets aren't going to be terribly complicated, we just

need some people who can help build some flats and do some painting.

Setwork

We will begin setwork as soon as is feasible, however, we will plan on the

following dates.  Location is TBD  We will need as much help as we can get

and the number of these is dependent on what we can get done during the

week while we rehearse.
